Nature Protector Adventures is a company driven by a quality and safety first doctrine. Being a locally owned company without foreign offices and staff, without hiring a marketing company to promote us, we are far from being the most expensive company for your Tanzanian holiday. But because we put an emphasis on delivering a high quality product without cutting corners, we are also not the least expensive. What we do guarentee is that our tours are of high value. Nature Protector Safaris strives to be true to our name. We do not offer activities that are not in the long term interest of the environment. This includes some activities commonly offered by other tour companies. We hope that you understand and support our position. Our main office is located in Moshi, Kilimanjaro Region of Tanzania. We also have representation in Zanzibar. Nature Protector Safaris egerly waits the opportunity to serve you and to show you our beautiful country in which we have great price. Karibu Tanzania, Karibu Nature Protector (If you don't know the meaning of "karibu", you certainly will by the end of your Nature Protector Safaris adventure holiday).

Nature Protector Adventures was founded by Shukuru, a woman from the Kilimanjaro Region of Tanzania. The name Shukuru is a Swahili word meaning "thankful" or "grateful". She is a believer of living in inter-dependence, so even until the establishment of Nature Protector Adventures she believes not in her mind or in her strength. Rather that she is thankful for the people who have supported her to achieve these goals. Her greatest thirst is to support others as she was helped. The percentage of tour companies that are headed by a female is very small and she desires to act as a role model to those who do not think that it is possible to achieve big dreams. She is also greateful to be raised in a country that places importance on its natural resources. Tanzania in fact has over 30% of its land under protected status. Nature Protector Adventures is a strong advocate in the preservation of these irreplacable resources. Come explore Tanzania with us. We will show you the "real" Tanzania not often seen through other tour companies. She has formed a strong local team of well-experienced staff to insure that from the first communication with Nature Protector Adventures until you arrive back home that you will be confident that you are involved with a company that values your Tanzanian holiday and will do all that is possible to make your trip a wonderful and memorable experience.
When you have a general idea of that type of tour you would like, we encourage you to contact us. Do not feel that you have to have all the details in place such as specific dates, number of participants, etc. We will work together to create a customized itinerary based around your interests, time allotment, and budget. Our Tour Consultants are not commissioned so there is no motivation for them to pressure you into tour additions. We do not have a mailing list or sell contact information to any third parties. You will be contacted by Nature Protector Adventures only from our office when it concerns the trip that you have communicated to us about. Once we have the itinerary in place and have discussed all options we will give you a firm price quote. We will request a deposit be sent in the amount of 25% for mountain treks and camping safaris, 50% for lodge/tented camp safaris and for any accommodations outside of Moshi (such as Zanzibar), and 100% of the cost for any domestic flight which we book for you. There is no time limit when the deposit must be paid, but we will not reserve the accommodations or flights until we receive the deposit. The deposit can be made through direct bank wire transfer into our Tanzanian bank - it is a USD account so payments made will be converted to USD by your bank as part of the wire transfer if your account is not a USD account. You can also make payments online through the Pesa Pal link found here. The final payment will not be due until your arrival in Tanzania.
Nature Protector Adventures is not in the business to make a profit off of cancellations or postponements. But it cannot afford to lose money off of them either. For a postponement, 100% of any recoverable amount of payments made will be applied toward your new date. By recoverable amount, we mean that third parties such as airlines and safari accommodations may have policies that will not allow a refund in which case that amount would be forfeited. For complete trip cancellations, we will refund via bank wire transfer all recoverable amounts minus a service fee of $100/person and less any money transfer fee. There can be no refunds once any part of your itinerary has started. If for some reason your itinerary is shortened - either completing a Kilimanjaro trek faster than scheduled or aborted for any reason for instance, no part of the climb fee would be refundable and you would be responsible for additional nights accommodation in Moshi if needed. We highly recommend the purchase of travelers' insurance. If only a portion of people in your group cancel, we will need to recalculate the tour amount for the entire group based on the number of participants. As an example, if in a group of four, one person cancel out of the trip, the price for the remaining participants would be recalculated based on the price of a three person group. Again, we strongly recommend travelers' insurance be purchased to cover these scenerios.
If for the highly unlikely case of Nature Protector Adventures cancelling a trip the company will be responsible for returning 100% of any money paid. Any wire transfer fees would be the responsibilty of Nature Protector Adventures.
Nature Protector Adventures requires health insurance for all Mt Kilimanjaro treks (excluding short non-summit treks).
